Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
  • URLs for the references have been provided where available.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except for URL's), and all illustrations, figures, and tables are within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements of APA7 referencing style.
  • At the time of submission, two versions of the manuscript must have been uploaded; one where the authors are identified and one where they are de-identified.

Nature of Article

Articles should be between 3,000 and 4,500 words and may describe research in any area relevant to ECE including:

  • Access, equity, and inclusion in ECE
  • Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in ECE
  • Trauma-aware ECE practices
  • Role of STEM in ECE
  • Play-based learning approaches
  • Loose parts and play
  • Child development theories and practices
  • Curriculum design and implementation
  • Early literacy and numeracy
  • Parent and community involvement
  • Policy analysis and implications
  • Early Childhood Early Intervention
  • Innovations in ECE technology
  • Materials used in ECE

N.B: Any use of AI in the article must be duly acknowledged. The submission may be checked by Academic Integrity Software.

Editorial Support Team

Editorial support team will perform the assigned role e.g. communication, follow up with the authors, reviewers etc.
