Call for Papers - Journal of Early Years Insights (JoEYI)
The Journal of Early Years Insights (JoEYI) is pleased to invite submissions for its first issue. We welcome scholarly conceptual and empirical articles focused on Early Childhood Education (ECE).
We invite you to submit an abstract of no more than 250 words, using Times New Roman, 12-point font, to editor.joeyi@vu.edu.au by March 15, 2025. Please attach your abstract as a Word document (NOT as a PDF).
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed for relevance to the journal, and authors will be notified by March 31, 2025 regarding whether their article is invited for full peer review. Full manuscripts will be due by June 30, 2025.
Topics of Interest
Submissions should be between 3,000 and 4,500 words and may address, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Access, equity, and inclusion in ECE
- Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in ECE
- Trauma-aware ECE practice
- Role of STEM and Creative Arts in ECE
- Play-based learning approaches
- Loose parts and play
- Child development theories and practices
- Curriculum design and implementation
- Language acquisition and mathematical thinking in ECE
- Parent and community involvement
- Policy analysis and implications
- Early Childhood Early Intervention
- Innovations in ECE technology
- Materials and creative resources used in ECE
